SHARJAH: The captain of Desert Vipers Colin Munro displayed great sportsmanship during the ILT20 match against Sharjah Warriors as he recalled Martin Guptill, who got run out at the non-striker’s end.
The incident occurred during the 12th over when Shadab Khan bowled a full-length delivery, which Joe Denly smashed, only to hit the marching non-striker Guptill on his arm, resulting in him falling down to the ground.
As Guptill was out of his crease, the bowler quickly picked up the ball and knocked the bails off for the run-out, however, Munro intervened and withdrew the appeal after a brief conversation with Khan.
